The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is essentially about land, so bringing up religion and antisemitism is irrelevant.

The Israeli Response

  • The Palestinian claim for the land is historically invalid since the Jews had full sovereignty of the land and the Palestinians did not
  • Even if the Palestinian claim for the land was valid, it is impossible to separate the religious aspect of the conflict from that of the land.
    • Jerusalem is a land holy to Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.
    • Hamas, the organization supposedly elected to fight over the territory in the name of the Palestinians through an Islamic Holy War, calls in its charter for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of all (innocent) Jews:
    • 'The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.' (Article 7)
  • There are many more reasons to believe this is not just a conflict about territory.
    • The Palestinians have refused all peace settlements offered to them by Israel
    • Anti-Israeli propaganda used by the Palestinians and their supporters, like “From the River to the Sea” and “globalize the intifada,” specifically calls for Jewish genocide.
    • Those parties disregards Israel’s right to exist and celebrates the killing of Jews rather than attempting to settle the land offered to them.
    • This agenda and behavior can only be explained by antisemitism.
    • Jews have historically been discriminated against everywhere in the world because of their religion, and Israel has proven to be their only home.
  • The current Palestinian leaders are the Hamas terror group and the Palestinian Authority.
  • These leaders do not have territorial aims - they have genocidal ambitions.
  • Only a change in leadership will stop the spread of misinformation and anti-Israel propaganda and result in the beginning of a peaceful long-term resolution in the Middle East.

Conclusions

Israel has tried to normalize relations with the Palestinians, as well as advocate for unity and prosperity despite there being no historical basis for their claim to the land. The dispute between Israelis and Palestinians is not over territory; it is a disagreement over the right of a Jewish state to exist.
