Pro-Palestinian protests stand for freedom of speech and do not have any harmful impact on Jews

The Israeli Response

  • We will specify the most commonly used phrases in pro palestinian protests that spread hatred of Jews:
    • “From the river to the sea”
      • This phrase demands Palestinian control over the entire territory of Israel’s borders, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea
        • There is nothing peaceful about this slogan, it is a call for erasing the State of Israel and the Jewish people. It is also a rallying cry for terrorist groups and their sympathizers.
        • “Globalize the Intifada”
          • This is a call for widespread violence against both Israelis and Jews worldwide
            • The term “intifada” describes a series of Palestinian violent uprisings against Israel and policies in the West Bank and Gaza. There have been two intifadas - the First Intifada from 1987-1990 and the Second Intifada from 2000 - 2005. Calls for a global intifada are a call for further violence against Jews.
            • “Glory to our martyrs”
              • This rallying cry praises the Hamas terrorists that beheaded, murdered, burned, raped and kidnapped nationals from over 40 nations in Israel on October 7th.
                • Praising terrorists has long been promoted within Palestinian society, both in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority, which governs portions of the West Bank
                • “Israel is a colonialist enterprise”
                  • This refers to a system of oppression in which a colonizing nation displaces and dispossesses a native or pre-existing population.
                    • The Jewish people have a 3000 year connection to the land of Israel. By claiming Jews colonized Palestinians, Hamas and its supporters are manipulating the cause of racial justice to advance their terrorist goals.
                    • “Gaza is an open-air prison”
                      • A phrase used to convince people that Israel is keeping Gazans prisoners and that living conditions in Gaza are inhumane due to Israel’s actions.
                        • Those who use this claim often conveniently ignore two important points: Israel ceded control over Gaza in 2005, Israel isn't the only country that borders Gaza.
                        • “Genocide of the Palestinians”
                          • Israel is not committing Genocide against the Palestinian people.
                            • Claiming that jews are perpetuating such genocide is gaslighting a community whose population numbers have still not exceeded pre-Holocaust levels. The Palestinian population, both in the West Bank and Gaza, has increased exponentially in recent years.
                              • Israel's current operation (post October 7th) is aimed at eliminating the terrorist organization Hamas, not the Palestinians living in Gaza.
                              • “ The struggle for Al-Aqsa”
                                • This phrase implies that the Mosque is somehow in peril or in need of defense when, in fact, Israel has long respected the rights of Muslims to pray freely at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
                                  • Hamas called its October 7 massacre “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”, implying the beheadings, murders, rapes and hostage-taking were in the defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which sits on top of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and is the third holiest site in Islam.

                                  Intifada
                                  Intifada

                                  Conclusions

Pro-Palestinian protest phrases like "From the river to the sea," "Globalize the Intifada," and "Glory to our martyrs" spread anti-Semitic sentiments and promote violence. They call for the elimination of Israel and praise terrorists. These phrases manipulate the cause of racial justice and portray Israel negatively, despite Israel's respect for Muslim rights to pray freely at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
