Israel doesn't want peace with the Palestinians

The Israeli Response

  • The Palestinians were offered a state multiple times:
  • 1936 in the Peel Commission.
    • This was before Israel existed
    • Proposed the area of Palestine to be partitioned into three zones: A Jewish state, an Arab state and a neutral territory containing the holy places
  • 1947 in the UN Partition Plan.
  • 1967 after Israel conquered Judea and Samaria in the West Bank.
    • Israel offered to "give up Sinai and the Golan in exchange for peace"
    • The offer was rejected in September 1967 by the Arab States by the Khartoum Resolution.
    • It became famous for the "Three No's" - No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it
  • 2000 Peace Summit with Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat.
  • 2008 realignment plan with Ehud Olmert.
  • Israel 2005 disengagement unilaterally withdrew from Gaza , and they did not create a state.
  • All offers were rejected at all times.
  • Where was everyone that cared about Palestine when Hamas stole the highest rate per capita international foreign aid, larger than the Marshall Plan, from Palestinian children? They did not build schools or hospitals but used the money to build bombs and tunnels larger than the New York subway system. Where was everyone then?
  • Bashar Al-Assad killed 600,000 Arab children and gassed them with mustard gas. Where was everyone then?

Conclusions

In conclusion, understanding the historical rejection of state offers by Palestinians, critiquing Hamas for alleged misappropriation of foreign aid, and questioning the global response to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are crucial aspects. Additionally, the observation that some Palestinians may seek the destruction of the Jewish people rather than a state adds complexity to the situation. Addressing these multifaceted challenges is essential for a comprehensive resolution to the conflict.
